Data Protection Policy

Thank you visiting our website and your interest in our company and our products. We take particular care to safeguard your privacy and guarantee the protection of your personal data by processing your personal data according to the content of this Data Protection Policy and applicable data protection law.

You can visit our websites without telling us who you are. You are merely required to make the data transferred to our server by your browser available (see “Log files”) in order to display our websites. Any further personal data will only be saved if you enter it voluntarily on the website or use the appropriate functions, for example if you enter information into our contact forms or register for our newsletter.

Cookies

Cookies are very small text files used by websites that your browser stores on your computer and that can transmit certain information to us or also to a third party if necessary.

Transient cookies are deleted automatically when you close the browser. In particular, they include session cookies. They store what is known as a “session ID”, which allows the various requests from your browser to be allocated to the same session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

Persistent cookies are deleted automatically after a set period of time, which can vary depending on the cookie in question. Unlike transient cookies, persistent cookies are not deleted automatically when you close the browser. However, you can also delete the cookies at any time in your browser’s security settings.

We process cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user (“necessary cookies”) in the context of our legitimate interest in providing and operating the website based on Art. 6 (1), sentence 1 (f) of the GDPR. The following cookies that are necessary for operating the website are used at present:

Further information about your terminal device that is not strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user is stored or accessed. Storage and/or access thus only take place if you have given your consent to this effect. Details about the type of information, purpose of processing, information storage period and potential data recipients can be found further on in this privacy policy (e.g. under “cab online chat” and under “Matomo”).

You can make settings in your browser so that cookies are categorically not accepted or only certain cookies are stored or not stored. You can revoke any consent to data processing with effect for the future using cookies that you may have given at any time by deleting the corresponding cookies directly using your browser’s settings. You will find out more about this in your browser’s Help section. If your browser rejects all cookies, you may not be able to use all of this website’s features.

Links to social media platforms

Our website refers to our pages on different social media platforms. Please note that, by clicking these links, you will leave our website and also the scope of validity of this Data Protection Policy. The respective Data Protection Policies and Terms of Use of the operator of the social media platform shall only be valid on that social media platform.

Log files

Each time you access our website, we collect the following information about your computer: The IP address of your computer, the request made by your browser and the time of this request. In addition, the status and the transmitted data volume in the context of this request are recorded, along with product and version information of the browser used and the operating system of your computer. We also record from which website our website was accessed. The IP address of your computer is only saved for the period of your use of the website and then deleted immediately or truncated to anonymize it. The remaining data is stored for a limited period of time. We use this data to operate our website, in particular to determine and eliminate website errors, to determine the capacity utilization of the website and to make adjustments or improvements (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR).

Matomo

This website uses the web analytics service Matomo to analyze how our website is used and to enable us to improve it on a regular basis. This is done to enable us to pursue our legitimate interest in improving the range of products and services we offer using the statistics obtained and in making said range more interesting for you as a user.

The following cookies are stored on your computer for this evaluation with your consent (Art. 6 (1), sentence (1) (a) of the GDPR):

You can prevent cookies from being set either by not consenting to the setting and processing of cookies for visitor counting / statistical purposes, or by preventing the setting of cookies using your browser’s settings, or by deleting cookies stored on your device. Please note that you may not be able to use all of this website’s features if you prevent cookies from being stored.

If you do not agree to cookies being set or prevent the setting of cookies using your browser’s settings, only the data mentioned under “Log files” (truncated IP address, referrer, etc.) will be processed for the purposes of statistically evaluating website visits. This is done in the context of our legitimate interest in analyzing visits to our website.

You can prevent Matomo from tracking or revoke your consent with effect for the future by clicking on the following link to set what is known as an “opt-out cookie”:

Please note that opting out will set a cookie on your terminal device to prevent tracking. If you subsequently delete cookies from your terminal device, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted so you may need to object or revoke your consent again.

Matomo uses this website with the “AnonymizeIP” extension. This further processes IP addresses in truncated form so they cannot be directly attributed to a person. The IP address transmitted by your browser using Matomo is not associated with any other data we collect. You will find information from Matomo about data protection at https://matomo.org/privacy/.

Embedded content of third parties (e.g. YouTube)

If third-party content, such as YouTube, is displayed on our web pages, the transmission of your IP address and the content displayed under “Log Files” to the third-party provider is required to make this content available and to display it in your browser. This serves to provide an attractive presentation of our website. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1), sentence 1, (f) of the GDPR. We have no influence on the processing of data by the third party. If you are registered with the third party through a user account, the third party can assign your user behavior to your user account. If necessary, the third party stores your data as a user profile and uses it for the purposes of advertising, conducting market research and/or designing its website in a needs-based way. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles whereby you must contact the third party to exercise this right.
